How we began

In 2018, a cluster of warehouse operators near Gumi began converting light industrial space for consolidated mining. Supplier spec sheets rarely matched summer performance. Two former industrial maintenance technicians and a power-systems drafter started visiting sites on referral, logging intake temperatures and actual hash output with borrowed meters.

Word spread through facility managers—not online forums. By 2020 we formalised as Utilityhemlockway Mining Review Co. and limited our scope to hardware at 0.05 PH/s and above, where cooling and breaker math justify professional assessment.

What we do today

We remain a field-first practice. Assessors carry calibrated logging gear, thermal cameras, and sound meters. Desk analysts maintain a comparison library built from Korean site data, not recycled manufacturer PDFs.

We do not sell equipment, hold inventory, or take referral fees from distributors. Income comes from assessment fees and written briefs.

Our people

  • Han Seo-yeon — Lead assessor, fifteen years in industrial HVAC maintenance before specialising in high-density rack cooling.
  • Ryu Jae-ho — Power and breaker documentation; former electrical drafting for factory expansions in North Gyeongsang.
  • Elena Kostova — Comparison briefs and supplier document review; background in technical procurement for heavy industry.

Working approach

  2. Write for decision-makers — Reports include executive summaries without hiding uncertainty.
  3. Stay in scope — We advise on equipment fit; licensed contractors execute electrical and structural work.
  4. Document retention — Site photos and logs archived for twelve months to support follow-up visits.

Relationship to clients

Most clients are repeat operators expanding row by row. We treat each visit as part of a longer facility story—not a one-off audit. Mild findings are reported plainly; we do not inflate risk to sell additional services.

Community

We participate in Gumi industrial association roundtables on energy use reporting. We do not run training courses or sell certification programmes.
